In 2001 I was formed in Graphic Design at the Faculty of Belas Artes of São Paulo with this project: a 10-page Ludwig Von Drake story about urban transportation. I researched not only Ludwig's old comics for his design, but also all the old Ludwig featurettes I was able to find. It's from the cartoons that came the idea of using watercolors. There's also a flood on Duckburg at the end, so the watercolor idea match with the story even more. The idea of doing watercolor was also a way of letting the inker to have more freedom, so he did open traces, a kind of details that was generally lost on our digital color days (the colors were made on other layers). This opened new graphical oportunitties. I was also very much glad to work with Lilian Mitsunaga for the first time. She did the lettering on record time. This story was very much fun to do. I also had much support from Orlando Paes Filho, Waldyr Igayara, Márcia Auriani, Euclides Miayaura and André Ameruso, who helped me to design a secondary character.
